These Terms and Conditions apply to all customers of A & M Thornton and to all private hire services arranged on the customer’s behalf.

By making a booking or using our services (whether by telephone, email, website, or any other method), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

A & M Thornton operates as a private hire booking service, arranging journeys with appropriately licensed drivers in accordance with local authority regulations.


2. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you (the customer) and A & M Thornton relating to the booking and provision of private hire transport services (“Service”).

Any variation or special request must be agreed in writing to be valid.


3. Booking Acceptance
  • All booking requests are provisional until confirmed.

  • A booking is only accepted once you receive a booking confirmation (via phone, text, or email).

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where necessary.


4. Services Provided

We provide private hire transport services within the United Kingdom, primarily serving Bradford and surrounding areas, including local, airport, and long-distance journeys.


5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete booking details

  • Ensure passengers behave responsibly during the journey

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Be ready at the agreed pickup time

Failure to comply may result in cancellation or refusal of service.


6. Payments
  • Fares are agreed at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

  • Payments must be made using the accepted payment methods.

  • Any additional charges (waiting time, changes, or detours) may apply.


7. Cancellations & Refunds
  • Cancellations should be made as early as possible.

  • Late cancellations or failure to attend may result in a charge.

  • Refunds, where applicable, are issued at our discretion in line with our cancellation policy.


8. Delays, Traffic & Journey Times
  • Journey times and arrival times are not guaranteed.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, roadworks, accidents, or circumstances beyond our control.

  • Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time, especially for airport or time-critical journeys.


9. Limitation of Liability
  • Our liability for any claim is limited strictly to the fare paid for the journey.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.


10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure or delay in providing services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather

  • Road closures

  • Strikes

  • System failures

  • Government restrictions
